Filter Variables
In addition to Recode Variables, filtering is another method used to help refine your crosstab results.
To filter your crosstab results, perform the following:
- Select the row, column, or control for a crosstab and click the Add Filter button next to the field.
- Select an option for equal to (=) or not equal to (!=) and select the category levels for which to filter.

NOTE: Click the green arrow next to the variable in the Variables pane to read more about the category level options.
- If necessary, add more than one category level to the filter by clicking the drop-down arrow again and selecting another option. In the example below, the crosstab will only display results for "Yes" and "No" categories and omit all other categories.

- To edit the filter, click the X next to the category level.

- To remove the entire filter, click the Clear Filter button. The filter no longer displays for the crosstab.
